About This Performance

Dawn Upshaw’s voice compels us with its flawless technique and crystal-clear diction, and her commitment to the poetry of music and song is unsurpassed. In her first PCMS appearance in 18 years, the opera superstar and MacArthur Fellow teams up with longtime collaborator Gilbert Kalish to illuminate songs by the “Yankee Maverick,” Charles Ives, in a program that also features his monumental Concord Sonata.
